"Godzilla and the Banana Oil took the world by storm in the late 70's with chart topping hits like 'Tail Kick Slide' and 'Meltdown Mambo', they were notable for being the first band to ever go platinum while being able to breathe fire. But soon enough their high risk lifestyle caught up to them when Jet Jaguar O'Ded on pale sushi and quit the band to deal with his addiction. Substitute Keytarist Spectreman didn't draw the crowds quite the same way. The band still gets together to a reunion concert every few years, but another tour is never in the works. "
